What is Afghanaid's promise to me?

Deciding to leave something behind to give an Afghan family the hope of a brighter future is a truly wonderful thing to do. We understand that looking after others in addition to your loved ones as a part of your Will is a deeply personal and special decision. That is why, if you choose to leave a legacy to Afghanaid, in return we make this promise to you:

1. We will discuss with you the ways in which you would like your gift to be used and the feasibility of this, in order to ensure that your gift will have the most impact and will be spent cost-effectively whilst remaining true to your wishes;
2. We understand that your loved ones come first, and promise to treat you and your family with courtesy, sensitivity and respect;
3. We believe communication is a two-way street and will always be happy to answer any questions you may have, explain Afghanaid’s work in more detail, or tell you where you can find further information about how your gift will make a difference to the people of Afghanistan;
4. We will always respect your decision if you wish to make an official altercation to your will and change your mind about leaving a legacy gift to us;
5. Any personal information that you choose to share with us will always be completely confidential and handled securely and carefully; and 
6. We will always respect your privacy – you decide how often and in what ways we can contact you, and you can change your mind about this at any time.
